History

Tamro has a long history that started in Tampere in 1895.

2012

Tamro- Groups activities end and Tamro's business units as well as Tamro Finland start to report to the mother company PHOENIX group. PHOENIX group. Tampere new, logistics centre extension is finilized.

Tamro Group published its first Sustainability report and started to report. The report was published in May. This year Tamro Group sold its minority share in ZAO Rosta wholesaler compnyma.

 
  
 

 

 

2008

Tamro operates in eight countries as well as in Russia trough a minority share. Tamro Group is the leading distributor in the Nordic countries and is actively striving to expand into pharmacy operations where possible.

 
 
  

2005

  

International expansion continues and operations are launched in Poland. 

   
 

2004

  

Tamro becomes a wholly owned susidiary of PHOENIX Pharmahandel AG & Co. Tamro Corporation is delisted from the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

  
 

2002

The Russian operations are reorganised. Tamro acquires a minority stake in ZAO Rosta, a new, federal pharmaceutical wholesaler.

 

 

2001

Tamro expands into pharmacy opeations when its Nowegian subsidiary merges with Apokjeden, the lading pharmacy chain in the country. Tamro also acquires its first pharmacies in Baltic countries.   

 

 

2000

PHOENIX Pharmahandel AG & Co, Germany's leading pharmaceutical wholesaler. becomes the largest shareholder in Tamro.

Tamro Acquires Nomeco, the largest pharmaceutical company in Denmark.

Tamro’s 100 years anniversary. Tamro acquires ADA AB, the leading pharmaceutical distributor In Sweden. When the operations are expanded to Norway, as much AS nearly 70% of net sales come outside Finland

Oy Aurum-Pharmakon Ab, a pharmaceutical company established in 1911, is merged into Tampereen Rohdos. The new company adopts the name Oy Tamro Ab.

Tampere Rohdos shares are listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchang.

The name of the company is changed to Tampereen Rohdos Oy, in Swedish Tammerfors Drog Ab. By the 1940s.The company has expanded into a National wholesale business. The company also ensures pharmaceutical care during the war in Finland
