Quality is an inherent part of all Tamro’s operations, and we are an industry forerunner in quality assurance
Pharmaceutical wholesale business is strictly regulated and monitored by laws, decrees and official requirements. The basic requirements are specified in Good Distribution Practise, or GDP. The Finnish Medicines Agency Fimea monitors the operation of pharmaceutical wholesale. Pharmaceutical companies also carry out audits to verify appropriate storage and distribution of their products. Availability and reliable delivery of medicines together with high-quality distribution form the cornerstones of Tamro's operations. Tamro plays a critical role in pharmaceutical distribution in Finland, and also carries out emergency deliveries to health care units to ensure patient safety.
Tamro’s plant manufacturing operations adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practise, or GMP. Authorities responsible for the supervision of products other than pharmaceuticals include the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health Valvira, which supervises medical devices and accessories, and the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira, which supervises food supplements.
Tamro was the first Finnish medicine distributor to obtain the ISO 9001 quality certification in 2004. Tracking customer satisfaction and continuous improvement are at the core of the ISO 9001 certified management system. Tamro’s continuous operational improvement is based on quality metrics and customer feedback. We improve our processes continuously to serve our customers even better.
