At Christmas time we will donate 200 gift cards to families in Tampere and Helsinki region through Hope Association. Supporting families in need has been Tamro’s traditional way of making a difference for several years.
The financial situation in many families has gotten worse this autumn since food prices have increased due to the inflation. Furthermore, rise in electricity costs affects many families.
- There has been a large number of inquiries for grocery help this autumn. For many families food is the main concern: how they can manage the everyday life. The social welfare has not kept up with the rising food and energy costs. We greatly appreciate Tamro’s generous donation, says Nora Nederström form Hope Association.
The gift cards worth 50 euros are meant for food and household items. The cards will be handed out in Helsinki region and in Tampere during the holiday season.
- This years has brought financial challenges to many families, and some of them have even struggled before. We’d like to make everyday life easier for these families together with Hope Association. We decided donate gift cards for basic goods to support families during these uncertain times, states Katja Toivonen, Quality and Sustainability Business Partner at Tamro.
