The Smila is run by JDM Innovation GmbH. The use of the online service is limited to professionals. Of the service is perception and usage data related to technology solution.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Users may encounter accessibility problems in the service. The following is a description of known accessibility issues and our plans to fix them.

JDM Innovation GmbH is constantly updating the online service and related application while improving accessibility. The goal is to have the online service and application reachable during July 2023.

Partially compliant: some of the content does not fully meet the requirements.

 

Known accessibility issues for Smila Cloud

Navigation and accessing Information

Menu:

  • The system offers different ways to reach its goal, this makes the system complex
  • It is difficult to find the information

Selection Row:

  • Check box selection for row, function not available in all cases
  • Selection not available, nevertheless detail view exists

Content:

  • Some content is restricted in its view for users, therefore it is difficult to get an overview. (vertical and horizontal scrolling necessary)
  • Contents are displayed in different tables
  • Overview of mandatory information is not available

 

Consistency

Filter:

  • different visual design for dropdown

Search:

  • different representation of the search function
  • “Search by device name” stays on top as a label

Tags:

  • different display of tags in arrangement

Edit function:

  • Link to edit mode not always given
  • Edit mode through selected row and buttons

Links:

  • Different display of links.

Second Navigation:

  • Design is inconsistency, with/without icons and label

Known accessibility issues for Smila App:

Navigation and accessing Information

Content:

  • Some icons are missing labels, it doesn’t describe the topic or purpose.
  • Some functions are difficult to access due their small click area
  • Some information/ content is not presented in a meaningful sequence

 

Consistency

Elements:

  • Components with the same functions have different visual design and have different positions.

Screen Ready:

  • Screen reader is not available everywhere.

 

Readability

Content:

  • Some content, e.g. calendar is displayed too small. This makes readability and access difficult.
  • Content does restrict its view and operation to a single display orientation

Font Size:

  • Font size can not be adjusted.
  • Some labels are displayed too small to read for our user group.
