The work of the Health Technology Services team is visibly impacting the lives of home care customers across Finland every day. With the help of the Smila medication dispenser, medicines are taken on time, daily life becomes safer, and living at home is possible for longer. At the same time, care professionals have more time for the most important thing: connecting and supporting people.
Everyone in the team has their own role, but the shared direction is clear, say Annamari Olli and Otso Kallinen.
Our goal is to make everyday life easier for home care customers and care professionals alike, increase inclusion, improve medication safety, and support Wellbeing Services Counties at a time when resources are under pressure.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with wellbeing services counties. Feedback and wishes are listened to carefully, and if something does not work, the team rolls up its sleeves and resolves the situation. This hands-on approach has earned the team a great deal of positive feedback from customers.
In addition to customer support and user training, the team works continuously on development together with customers, carefully testing new features and bringing them into everyday use. The team brings together a wide range of expertise from logistics and cloud services to international product development.
While the team works with modern health technology and looks firmly to the future, Annamari and Otso say the way of working is guided by a warm and open atmosphere. Everyone has the opportunity to influence decisions, different perspectives are heard, and the work is a dynamic team effort. What unites the team is a shared desire to do meaningful work, with heart.
