The Quality Assurance team’s mission is to make sure that every batch of medicines arriving at Tamro is handled, stored, and transported in full compliance with pharmaceutical legislation and GDP (Good Distribution Practice). In other words, they safeguard the integrity of medicines – preserving their quality, safety, and efficacy – throughout the distribution chain, from wholesaler to pharmacies and hospitals.
The team also oversees operations under Tamro’s manufacturing license, participates in supply chain management projects, and ensures continuity in medicine distribution. Their work is a cornerstone of Tamro’s social responsibility: guaranteeing that medicine distribution in Finland remains uninterrupted under all circumstances – responsibly, reliably, and expertly.
“People often think quality is just about setting guidelines, but at Tamro, quality is truly part of everyday life. The job requires a hands-on approach and practical problem-solving, which is one of the things that makes our work so rewarding,” say Anni Svala and Elina Rintala.
Composed of pharmacists and pharmaceutical experts, the team brings extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. They know the legislation, industry processes, and wholesale operations inside out, and their expertise helps them find solutions even in challenging situations.
“Strong collaboration and mutual trust with authorities, stakeholders, and our customers give our work meaning and create a positive atmosphere. It’s great to be part of building confidence that Tamro has everything under control, processes are compliant and the team is highly skilled,” Anni and Elina add.
Tamro is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. Throughout the year, we will share stories from Tamro’s rich history and introduce the dedicated teams who work with determination, expertise, and heart.
